Eastern Plumas Winter Snow Fest 2012
During the President's day weekend in February 18 & 19, the Eastern Plumas Chamber of Commerce and Sierra Nevada Journey's will be hosting the Annual Eastern Plumas Winter Snow Fest at Grizzly Creek Ranch Campus in Portola,
Halloween 2011
Crizzly Creek Ranch hosted the 2nd Annual 'Safe Trick or Treat' evening, courtesy of 'Sierra Nevada Journeys' and sponsored by several community organizations including the Chamber of Commerce. Thanks to Beckwourth Fire Dept, we had a great haunted hay ride for the older teenagers, several organizations dressed a cabin, The event was free for children under 16 and only $2 for adults. The food was delicious and plenty of it, as we had over 600 people to feed!. there were free raffle prizes, booths with games and candy for everyone.

Celtic Festival 2011
We held a 'Celtic Festival' with a 'Scottish' and 'Irish' theme in September 2011 at the Veterans Hall in Portola. You can see from the pictures that everyone had a wonderful evening. The event was a fundraiser for the Chamber. The proceeds from the evening help towards Portola High School Scholarship awards. The local musical talent was exceptional,over 200 people bought tickets and supported us, we had; bagpipes, drums, violinists, guitar player, and singers Look out for the Festival in September 2012. Antique Fair 2011
The Chamber hosted the 2011 Labor Day weekend Antique Fair. Vendors from all accross the Country participated in this great event,young and old came to visit the fair. The event took place over 3 days and we had close to 500 visitors. This is an annual event for the Chamber and we are proud to be associated with this event.
Mohawk Valley Independence Day Celebrations 2011
Independence Day Celebrations on July 4th in Graeagle this year, was a huge success with thousands of people joining us all for the weekend activities and Ariel Fireworks display. Check out the video below for the Parade.
Reno Tahoe Open Golf Tournement 2011
Eastern Plumas Chamber, Quincy Chamber, Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce and Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce together with our partners; Greenhorn Guest Ranch, Plumas Pines Golf Resort, Nakoma Golf Resort, Sierra Park Property Development, River Pines Resort, Clio's River Edge RV Park, co-hosted a booth at the Reno Tahoe Open Golf Tournement at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno. Our booth attracted over 4,000 visitors, we handed out informational brochures on Plumas County. We had a raffle basket of goodies donated by local merchants and companies and the winner was drawn by the Mayor of Montreux. Once again we had a very sucessful week promoting Plumas County and drawing visitors to our beautiful area.
Harlem Ambassadors May 2011
The Harlem Ambassador basketball team visited Plumas County in May 2011 to play a game with our very own team 'The Court Hogs'. The Chamber co-sponsored the event with; Quincy Chamber of Commerce, Soropitimist International of Portola, Feather River College Athletics, FRC Rodeo, FRC Foundation and Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch, who sponsored their stay with us. The event was a message for 'kids to stay in school and stay off drugs and tobacco'. The game was a huge success for the community and their families.
